12 Designs for Christmas - Card 10

One of the things I love about Christmas is planning how I am going to decorate the tree – so many options to think about! Today’s cards each feature two Christmas Decorations from the Delightful Decorations Stamp Set.

The first option is Old Olive and Riding Hood Red – a wonderful more traditional Christmas colour combination, which still manages to look fresh and fun.

To make this card you will need
An A6 Card base in Old Olive
A piece of Whisper White measuring 6x9.5cm
A piece of Old Olive measuring 6.5x10cm
A piece of Riding Hood Red measuring 7x10.5 cm
Whisper White, Riding Hood Red and Old Olive Inks
Riding Hood Red Marker Pen
Delightful Decorations
Large Ornament Punch

The second option has exactly the same measurements but the Old Olive has been substituted with Chocolate Chip for a rich and luxurious festive look.

I hope you are finding this series of Christmas card design’s useful, there are just two more to go!

12 Designes for Christmas - Card 8

In the last post I showed you a couple of cards made using one of my favourite Christmas Stamp Sets, Season on Joy. Today I am going to show you another card made with this set, and with a totally different look and feel!

This card has a Riding Hood Red Base and a layer of Designer Series Paper which has been stamped on. A layer of flowers has been added across the centre.

Since these are all hand cut this card does take a little longer than some cards in this series. When doing a batch of cards with hand cutting, I tend to stamp out a whole bunch of images and then cut them out in front of the TV, or when I am waiting places as all you need are a pair of snips and a bag to carry the images in! What could be more fun than getting something done while you watch your favourite TV programme or feeling productive while you are waiting somewhere.

To make this card you will need
An A6 Card Base in Riding Hood Red
A piece of Designer Series Paper from the Neutrals Paper Stack
Scraps of Whisper White Card
Riding Hood Red and Basic Grey Ink
Rhinestones

Despite having shown you two very different cards with Season of Joy there are still stamps I have not shown you! What a great stamp set it is. If you would like to purchase any of the things used to make these (or any other)projects please email me bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

12 Designs for Christmas - Card 6

Now I will quite happily admit that I am addicted to Christmas Stamps – every year I tell myself that I don’t really need any more Christmas Stamps and then every year some totally scrummy Christmas Stamps come along and well they just have to join my collection!

I also know that some of you are stronger willed than I am and that you don’t own many Christmas Stamps so today’s card for the 12 Designs for Christmas Series features a non Christmas Stamp Set.

Stampin’ Up!’s Party this Way Stamp Set includes a lovely banner stamp, and here I have turned it upside down to make a lovely Christmas Tree. The Scallop edges make for a pretty decoration and I have filled the middle of the tree with scraps of Designer Series Papers. The colours I have used for the trees are a dynamic duo from the Stampin’ Up! Colour Coach, Garden Green and the Scrummy Pear Pizzaz.

The base of the card is Bashful Blue and it has been stamped in White Ink with images from Serene Snowflakes and the sentiment from Contempo Christmas. Some torn Whisper White Card provides the ground.

To complete the card you will need
An A6 card bland made from Bashful Blue Card
Scraps of Garden Green Card
Scraps of Pear Pizzaz Designer Series Papers
Scrap of Whisper White Card
Whisper White Ink
Garden Green Ink
Serene Snowflakes Stamp Set
Party This Way Stamp Set

I am really pleased with how this card turned out and it got me wondering – what other Christmas Cards could you make using non Christmas Stamps – I would love to hear your ideas so please leave a comment below.

12 Designs for Christmas - Card 5

Are you going to be making your Christmas Cards this year? If so have you planned them yet? No? Don’t panic there is still 5 weeks to go so you have plenty of time. I hope this next post in the 12 Designs for Christmas will help you. This series of posts aims to bring you cards that are easy to replicate, economical with card stock and don’t cost any extra to post while still making the recipient smile and the card stand out.

Today’s card features the lovely Dasher Stamp. The Real Red card measures 9.5cm by 9.5cm and the bright cheery colour combined with a subtle sparkle really do make it stand out.

Dasher has been inked up in Whisper White Ink and then Platinium Shimmer Paint has been applied to his antlers. He was stamped onto a Real Red. The Serene Snowflakes stamped in Real Red on the base card just add some visual interest.

To complete this card you will need
1 piece of Real Red Card measuring 9.5cm by 19cm for the card base
1 piece of Real Red Card measuring 6cm by 7cm for the focal image
1 piece of Whisper White Card measuring 6.5cm by 7.5cm
Real Red Ink
Whisper White Ink
Platinum Shimmer Paint
Serene Snowflakes and Dasher Stamps

If you purchase the above from me I will include a sample card for you to copy.

The focal Dasher Image also looks great mounted onto a larger card

What a total Superstar

I am sorry to leave you without new cards to look at for the last few days – it’s been one of those weeks and hopefully it won’t be as long between posts this time! Today I am going to share a card I took to convention for one very special lady in my team who had achieved a really significant milestone in her Stampin’ Up! Career.

One of the things I love about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is that I get to help other people turn their hobby into a business.  I am lucky to have some wonderful inspiring amazing people in my team of Stampin' Superstars.  I am proud of them all.

Nicci has shared what she loves with lots of new people this year and it has been wonderful to see her grow alongside her business.  Well done sweetie, I hope you like it and the little gift that was with it.  If you want to find out about becoming a Stampin' Superstar please email me and we can arrange to chat.

The card features the stamps from Artistic Etchings, Curly Cute and Seeing Stars – there had to be stars in there as she really is a star and I am thrilled that she is one of my Stampin’ Superstars.  There are lots of rhinestones to make sure the card shines as much as its recipient.

I will be back with the next post in the 12 Designs for Christmas Series soon, so if you are looking for Christmas Card Inspiration please check back soon – these 12 card designs all aim to be easy to replicate and make large quantities of without loosing any of their WOW factor. Many also take advantage of this months special offers from Stampin’ Up! I look forward to sharing them with you.

What a Weekend!

Last weekend was the Stampin’ Up! European Convention. I had an Amazing time – it was so wonderful to visit with friends and to make new ones. Don’t you just love the phrase ‘visit with’ and it is certainly something I would like to do more of! A big hello to everyone I met. This year there were twice as many of us as there were last year and I would have loved more time to catch up with everyone!

The event that Stampin’ Up! put on for us was awesome. I have not yet downloaded my photos but here are some I have borrowed just to give you a flavour!

This is where we met ...

And there were gifts and goodies galore – just look at all these bags and I am now the very proud owner of my first ever tote – and it matches the wonderful Greenhouse Gala Papers! I won stamps and inks in the prize patrol and I finally have a pop up bin!

And then there was the awards dinner – I had purchased a pair of shoes that were higher than I have ever walked in before, but they were so beautiful. Two lovely friends helped me hem my trousers so you could see them when I walked! And thanks to my wonderful customers and my adorable team I did a lot of walking – across the stage. Not many of my theatre friends will believe this as I am a back stage girl who is always seen at the theatre but never on stage when the lights are on!  So here is the proof!

I still can’t quite believe it but I got four awards! So I walked across the stage 4 times when the lights were on! I got one for my sales and one for coming fourth in recruitment, each of which came with a free stamp set. I earned the incentive trip to Prague next summer (very excited about this as I get to go on holiday with some amazing and inspiring people) and then there was the one I am most proud of and most humbled by – I came 7th in the Demonstrator of the Year Awards. Thank you to every single person who made all this possible, I just hope you know how much I appreciate you all.

We also did some stamping (well of course) some swapping and learnt about some wonderful products and promotions that are coming up – I have so much I am looking forward to sharing with you when I can and my head is buzzing with inspiration.

And next year we are going to do it all again – in Disneyland Paris – I can’t wait! If you want to come get in touch (bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk) and we can talk about how.

I love this job!

Thank you

12 Designs for Christmas - Card 3

Its back to the 12 Designs for Christmas cards today and I am going to share a card featuring the wonderful Welcome Christmas Stamp Set. The more traditional images in this stamp set just make me smile!

Decorating the Christmas Tree was always something very special in our house as a child. We did not put our tree up until Dad got home from work on Christmas Eve and then we would all decorate it together. Today’s card uses an image that reminds me of those family tree decorating times!

The image has been stamped in Cherry Cobbler Ink onto Shimmer White Card Stock, so the whole thing has a lovely shimmery sheen which nicely catches the light. The background has been stamped with the wreath image and then the card layered together with some ribbon. I have used Old Olive Satin Ribbon, but if you were to purchase the Welcome Christmas Bundle on the current special offer from Stampin’ Up! just think how lovely it would look with those exclusive ribbons!

What you will need to complete this card:
A6 Card Base in Old Olive
8cm x 5cm in Shimmer White
8.5cm x 5.5cm in Old Olive
10cm x 14.5cm in Cherry Cobbler
Old Olive Satin Ribbon
Cherry Cobbler Ink
